Our Story

Founded by pilots. Defined by results.

Piedmont Jets was founded from a shared path and a shared conviction. Founders Sean and Jared met over 20 years ago flying charter together at Epps Aviation in Atlanta. Both Georgia Tech graduates and ATP-rated pilots, they built their careers side by side, grounded in the values of discipline, integrity, and a deep respect for aviation.

As they transitioned from the cockpit to the business side of the industry, they were driven by a desire to take on new challenges and be measured strictly by their results. Despite evolving roles, their perspective has remained firmly rooted in firsthand operational experience and a commitment to doing things the right way.

The Mark of Place

What's in a name.

The name “Piedmont” is deeply personal, reflecting both where we come from and how we think. In Atlanta, the word is everywhere — including the hospital where our children were born. Broadly, the piedmont refers to the foothills that sit just before the mountains.

It serves as a fitting metaphor for how we approach our work: grounded, steady, and always pushing toward something higher. It also mirrors the places we value most, from mountain landscapes to the world's great wine regions.
